Silverthorn Collegiate Institute will be closed effective Tuesday, Oct. 12, and all students will be moved to remote learning.
We can bet that in Canada, every student was mandated to be wearing a mask in school. That gives us real-world mask mandate data. Below is the data for Toronto just for the 4th Wave. Nurses in Quebec were going to have their licenses suspended if not vaccinated. 85.7% of all persons in Quebec 12 years and older are vaccinated – fully. The number of Quebec Covid deaths by age is below. Nurses under 40 years of age have little to worry about from Covid. Are the officials in Quebec worried about the 14.3% of unvaccinated screwing up the Herd Immunity, or are they worried about vaccine failures? If we have known since early 2020 which age groups and persons with comorbidities are the most susceptible to COVID-19 infection and the vast majority of those people have been vaccinated, the question that can’t be answered is why continue with mask and vaccine mandates?
Canada, like Australia, points to large government health entities like the CDC and world health organization for recommendations. These countries’ political leaders will not answer the question of why they do not follow the recommendations of Sweden, Norway, or Florida.
There is no science guiding these decisions. Huge numbers of persons under 40 have had Covid. There is no respect for persons who already have had Covid and recovered and now have immunity. There is no line in the sand for the goal of X% vaccinated, X# of hospitalized, X# of vulnerable in the ICU or dying. Canada is Covid Crazy for one reason. POWER.
