BLOG FROM THE PAST: March 2017 In 24 States, 50% or More of Babies Born on Medicaid

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 41 states have more than 40% of the babies born during the latest year on record had their births paid for by Medicaid. Information was obtained with the assistance of the Medicaid directors in each state.

Since 2008 when studies in the article looked at this, the trend has gone from below 50% to well over. Think about this, New Mexico has 72% of the babies born on medicaid. Now some will say that this shows how many people need medicaid. But liberty minded Doctors will look past the numbers at the cause. Why medicaid? Do they not have jobs? In 2016, new Mexico was leading the nation in unemployment. It’s the economy stupid.

Former President Obama was relentless in the propaganda of a recovered economy. If so, then why does more than 40% of mothers in 80% of the states need government insurance?
